About Us

Okay, so here’s the truth: LILACARAMEL was supposed to be a quick little project for our law school minor. Just something to check off the list, you know? Two girls trying to get through law school in New York, probably destined for corporate jobs we’d hate.

But then something wild happened. We actually fell in love with it.

Like, completely obsessed. We’d stay up until 3am finding the perfect dresses, debating whether a bag was cute enough to make the cut, refreshing our Shopify dashboard like maniacs. Our classmates were stressing about exams and we were over here like “but have you SEEN this sequin mini dress??”

Eventually we had to be honest with ourselves. We didn’t want to be lawyers. We wanted to do THIS. Full time. All day, every day.

So we did the most reckless, exciting, terrifying thing and just… went for it. Dropped the law thing and dove headfirst into building LILACARAMEL into something real.

For me (originally from Europe), this whole journey feels insane in the best way. Growing up, I’d hear about the American dream and think it was just something people said. But here we are, two women in our twenties, running our own fashion business in New York City. Living proof that if you love something enough, you can actually make it work.

What We’re About

LILACARAMEL is basically our dream closet that we decided to share with the world. Every piece we pick is something we’d genuinely wear ourselves. Party dresses that make you feel like THAT girl. Bags that get compliments. Shoes that are equal parts gorgeous and wearable.

We’re not trying to be some massive fashion empire. We just want to help you find pieces that make you feel confident, sexy, and ready for whatever your night (or day) has planned.

Based in New York, inspired by literally everything around us, and still kind of can’t believe this is our actual job.
